Choosing a film stock
There are fewer film stocks than ten years ago, but the choice still feels overwhelming.
For everyday black and white I settled on one medium-speed film and learned it well. Consistency teaches more than variety.
Colour film I keep for travel. It is expensive, so every frame gets a little more thought.
